Tour Description
We begin this tour with a drive to the famous Marie Sharps Hot Sauce Factory located just north of Dangriga Town. Here we learn the inspiring story of Ms. Marie Sharp and her determination to share her habanero hot sauce with the world. We tour the factory and conclude our visit with a guided tasting of over 30 hot sauces, jams and jellies for which Marie Sharp is known. Afterwards we head to Hopkins for a delicious Garifuna cooking class with Chef Gloria Lambey, followed by dessert: the cacao farm and chocolate making experience at Cheil Chocolate. Close toed shoes and shirts with sleeves are required to enter the Marie Sharps factory.
